The Ivers Science Building was built in 1967 and was simply called the Science Center. It was built at a cost of $1.8 million, $600,000 of which was funded by a Higher Education Facilities grant. The building was renamed Ivers Science Building in 1983 after Ralph M. Ivers, an alumnus and a major benefactor of the college.
