Home Economics House.

Built in 1938, the home economics department settled in the Home Economics Building after first being located in Bishop Whipple Hall and then Old Main. The Home Economics Building functioned as a student center in that it also housed the Bookstore from 1940-1954 as well as a lunch counter. The home economics department remained in the Home Economics Building until 1980 when it moved to the new science building (now called Jones Science Center). Before the Home Economics Building was razed in 1986, it served as the Art Annex.
