Hello kid:
Well here I am again and writing you this letter by moonlight I’ve been in the feild [sic] for three days now and I’m getting around to where I can see in the dark. so [sic] if you can’t read this its [sic] still ok. Did you ever try to write a letter in the moonlight? Well it [sic] a lot of fun. Well there [sic] not much new
[page 2]
around here and I don’t ask for much but will you send me some brownies? I’m only kidding you don’t have to but I sure get hungry out here all by me lonesome that is when we’re on a problem and all the boys leave the truck. Well honey I guess the whole world is getting crazier every day [sic]. Gee you have to excuse the dirty paper because if you was where this paper was you’d be
[page 3]
dirty to [sic]. Well Darling I got to close now and don’t forget that I still love you and say hello to the rest of the family for me and your grandmother to [sic]. I love you darlng. As Ever
