Hello darling,
Gee it’s getting so I don’t know what day of the week it is. This is the first time I’ve had to write for the last two nights. I just got in from another one of those night problems and I feel lousy. I know I shouldn’t complain but it’s get[ting] so darn disencouraging in the army working seven days a week and [you] dont [sic] see the one you love. Gee darling, I’m in an awful mood to-day. [sic] Now they tell us before we change camps we [have] got to spend a month in the field. It looks like you’ll have a

nutty husband before this war is over. Well so much for that. Darling do you know how much I love you? Well I love you so much if it wasn’t for you it wouldn’t be much use living. I want you so much and want to be with you all the time. Darling it seem[s] like such a long time since you we’re [sic] here. I really miss you darling and I don’t mean maybe. I love you darling and I hope to get home some of these days. I love you. As Ever,
Howard
