Dear Yvette
Well darling this letter will have to take up for both Sat. + Sunday because I started to write last night and ending to-day. Seeing sunday [sic] is a work day I won’t have much time. Yes darling I got back O.K. now and I’m back in good old camp Campbell Ky. [Kentucky].
[page 2]
last night it was so nice and warm here that I took a little walk and didn’t even have a jacket on. Gee I miss you a lot and when I read the letter I got from you to-day it made me think how much I’m going to miss you now that I can’t see you for a little while. You know darling it seems as thou [sic] I have seen you for months and the time goes so slow here but really it only been three days. I got to clean my gun in about ten minutes and then
[page 3]
work in the supply room. To-morrow morning I got to go to the dentist for inspection. I guess I can pass that. Right now everybodys [sic] in the barracks, some are playing cards. some are shooting crops and some just writing letters but all of the boys are mad because they have to work. It doesn’t bother me much because I wouldn’t go anyplace anyway. I got a package of stuff I’m going to
[page 4]
home so I’ll send them to mom. Its [sic] just some clothes I can’t use. Well darling I love you so much and I want to be with you so much but I guess I’ll have to wait for a little while. I love you darling so very much and I always will. Love
Howard
