Hello honey:
How’s my little baby to-night [sic]? Gee I miss you so much but then I can’t do very much about it. I got your letter this afternoon and the strand news with it. Darling how did I ever or what did I ever do to have a girl like you fall in love with me? Darling I wish I cou’d tell you just how much I love you but there just ain’t [sic] words to express it. I can say I love you but it don’t [sic] seem right. Now if I had my arms around you and said (I love you) [sic] it would have a different effect. Darling I love
[Page 2]
you more and more every day and I don’t know how long I can stay without seeing you again. Honey you should be here to-day [sic] it’s so hot that you could go out in a bathing suit and get a good tan or go swimming even. It’s just like a hot day in the middle of July. By the way your birthday comes pretty soon so please darling tell me what you want and I [will] get it if it means that I’d have to move the earth. Darling I’d do anything for you. Darling when are you going to say yes to this question? Will you marry me right away? Well I got to [sic] go now I got a little work to do for Uncle Sam before I go to bed. Darling take care of yourself and wait for me will you? All my love
Howard.
