Hello Honey:
I’m writing you now just in case I won’t have time later. Tell Jil that she’s just a big baby and I mean it to. You know darling Norman never even mention Vi in his letter to me. Is there something wrong? Before he always used to say some-thing [sic] about Vi and I was just wondering. Darling when are we going to get married? It seems so long to wait until I get another furlough.
[Page 2]
Well darling I went to chores this morning and I feel good to-day [sic]. I don’t know what it is but when I got to church it make[s] me feel as though I’m near you but when I get out it makes me home sick [sic]. Gee darling I love you so very much that I can’t do anything without thinking of you and I know how you’ll miss Susanne because I was growing kind of fond of her myself. I don’t know what it is but kids like that grow on me.
[Page 3]
Well darling I haven’t been any place since I’ve been back here but I seem to have a different feeling for th army. I feel that this time that maybe the war will be over soon and then I wouldn’t have to leave you again. Darling if I have to leave you two or three more times I couldn’t take it. Darling I got a chance to go to Dunbar Caves swimming. May I go darling? I promise that I won’t do any thing [sic] wrong. I won’t even drink
[Page 4]
a glass of beer. And you know that any other girl is out of the question and if you don’t know it I’m telling you now. Well darling I [am] going to say good night [sic] to you and may God keep you for me only. I love you very very much. As always
Howard.
