Hi Darling:
How are you getting alond [sic] with the pain in your chest. You better do as your mother tells you because she knows best. Oh how I wish I was there with you so I could be the doctor then everything would be allright [sic]. I hope they hurry up and make me a set of teeth pretty soon because I[‘m] gumming up all the works works with out [sic] them. she is to [sic] young to flirt with don’t you think? Darling I know that it wouldn’t be right to get married now but it makes me feel good to ask you even if you allways [sic] say no and don’t mean it. Well darling I hope I can get nearer home before Xmas so I could go home on a pass. Well that[‘s] about all my darling except I love you and please keep loving me alway[s]. Love
Howard
P.S. I love you.
