Hello Darling:
What are you doing? I haven’t heard from you lately. I got the box of cherries late lasts night and they were good. Honey the radio is playing (I [J]ust Kissed [Y]our [P]icture [G]oodnight) and Gee [D]arling I’m lonely to-night [sic]. I didn’t write to you last night because I was too tired. I went on that twenty mile march and we had an inspection afterwards and I had to wash all my equipment and after that I layed [sic] down on my bunk and was looking at your picture and doing a lot of thinking.
[Page 2]
Gee I wish I was with you. Well I fell asleep and had a wonderful dream about us’s [sic]. [H]ow do you like that for a word? Gee those boys in the barracks are crazy to-night [sic]. [T]hey sure are raising the devil. We just came back from got back from [sic] the show and what a picture you want to see it. It really made me feel blue. The name was (For [M]e and My Gal). I won’t tell you about it but you ought to see it. Darling I have to back you up during the day because if I don’t the boys say if I ever go out and leave you all alone that they would steal you. Well that [is] all for tonight. I love you [D]arling. Lots of love
Howard
