Hi [D]arling
How’s everything back home? I heard that quite a few people died in that fire in Boston the other night. Was there anybody that I knew? We’re having a big snow storm down here to-day [sic] and is it cold . I woke up this morning and about three feet from my bed there was a small pile of snow. I don’t think your [sic] getting all the letters that I write because for the last two weeks I have written every day so there must be something wrong. I got a letter from my folks to-day [sic] wanting to know if or when I [am] coming home but all I can tell them is to wait and time will tell. I wish I was home now. I’m in the office now and the motor officer is sleeping on my desk so I’m sittin on
[Page 2]
[a] bench and trying to write you a letter. The officer must of [sic] had a hard night last night because he’s got a headache. He’s a good guy though. [H]e comes in and talks with us Puts and not many of them will. He’s says [sic] that he is going to get married as soon as the war is over too, but I think he will get it over with before. Well he woke up so I have to quit now. Lots of Love
