Dear Sweet,
Darling I like the way you write and call me sweet and underline sweet. But it ok and I love you so much. Darling its [sic] kind of early to tell about the christmas [sic] vacation but don’t worry darling if there’s [no] possible way of me getting home I’ll be there but if not I’ll have you come down here weather [sic] you want to or not. Cave man stuff huh: But honest darling I can’t stay away from you that long I’ve been here just a little less than two weeks and it seems like two years. I’m telling you one thing that when this
[Page 2]
war is over I’ll take you every where [sic] I go except when I work. Well darling Its [sic] quite a mad house around here tonight. All the boys came back home from the feild [sic] and the furlough boys coming in but they aren’t like me wait and come in in the morning [sic], they come at a respectable hour. Darling I answer that question the seat in the train [sic]. Yes darling, I got a seat almost all the way back. Darling I didn’t write last night because I didn’t get finished work [sic] until around ten o’clock and the lights were all out. Well darling I [sic] going to leave you for tonight. I love you and you still blush and I love you for it. Your loving husband
