Dear Yvette,
Well darling it snowed all day to day [sic] and all we got to show for it is just enough to cover the ground. Its [sic] starting to freeze now and its [sic] quite windy now too. I’m just about frozen with out [sic] you darling. Well darling I’ve been having a good time to-day with nothing to do except sleep and eat and go to the movies. The movies was free because they were all about troop movements over seas like what you can and can’t do on a transport ship. Then after that we came back to the barracks and had a clothing check.
[Page 2]
Welling darling Yve. I’m glad your brother got home alright. Maybe now he’ll stay for a while [sic]. Darling my mind it [sic] on you and I can’t seem to think of anything but you. I wish I could be with you to-night. Gee darling I [sic] got to leave now to check over some stuff I [sic] got to have ready for tomorrow morning. I love you darling with all my heart. As Ever
