Dearest darling wife + no kids (yet)
Well here I am again and still in the best of health. I went to a near by [sic] town tonight and had a couple of glasses of cider be-cause [sic] thats [sic] about all you can get. Then I came back here an [sic] started to write this but I never can find anything to write about. Well we had I our first mail call to-day and I didn’t get any letters but I [sic] wait. Maybe I’ll get it in the next few days anyway I hope so. Well I guess I’ll write to mom tomorrow so if you get this before I get time to write give the family my love

[Page 2]

and tell pop I’m ok. I’ll tell you one thing darling I’d rather be in the states any day than be here and you can believe that. We had a nice trip over here and I didn’t get sea sick at all, but a few of them did. I was going to call you to tell you I wouldn’t be in that Sunday before I left but I couldn’t make it because no calls went out from the post. Well I guess I”ll go I bed now darling [sic]. [illegible deletion] goodnight for now. I love you very much and I would like to see you. Lots of love
