Dear Yvette
How is everything with you to-day [sic]? I am now in the guard house. I just came off past and nothing has happened so far, but I’ll have to go back in about a half hour. I still love you and I wish I could see you. I had a dream about you last night. I dreamt was dreaming that we had got married and it was in the summer and we were out on the ocean in a nice sail boat [sic] you know the kind they have in the movies. [I]t sure was some dream. I wonder when I [am] going to get another leave. I hope its [sic] very soon. Darling if you keep

making rugs you will have enough to put them down all over the place. I won’t have to find a corner to sweep the dust in I’ll just lift the rug and with a little push it will go under all by its self [sic]. Gee I shure [sic] miss you to-day [sic]. It’s Sunday you know and just like any other day in the army except we get up at seven o’clock instead of five. Darling I have to leave now so take care of yourself and remember I still want you. Lots of love
Howard

P.S. I wish we were married.
