My Darling Yve,
I love you very much and I hope you feel the same. Your letters are coming to me faster than I though[t] they would. [S]ome days I’ve got two or three in fact I get them so fast I don’t know where to begin. Well first I love you second will you marry me third I still love you [illegible word].I am trying to be every thing [sic] you want me to be so darling keep your chin up. By the time you get this letter I will be out on a hike which I mention [sic] before in

the letter I wrote the other day. I went over to the P.X. and got my self [sic] some ice cream just before I wrote this letter. I haven’t started to drink or gamble or any of those bad habits and I don’t think I will infact I know I won’t. I wish I could see you darling because you are allways [sic] so beautiful. Tell me what you are doing from day to day. I got a speech about giving out any information of our what [illegible deletion] we do down here: So I run out of words very quickly. [D]on’t forget that I love you and I miss you very much. Love
