Darling Yve
I got your picture to-day [sic] and they are pretty good, I like you in white. I am sorry that you got a cold and I hope it gets better quick. Well darling we are here practicing feild [sic] drills in the rain through mud and water and every thing [sic] you can think of. With all the hand work they are giving me me I stand there with a smile on my face
[Page 2]
and that gets the Sarg. sore and then he gives me an extra march around the feild [sic]. [A]ll the other guys look half dead most of them any ways [sic] and it burns them up because all other [illegible deletion] few in numbers stand there in line with the so called smile, but I won’t admit defeat that what makes them so mad. [T]he[y] know I’m tired. I hope your recital [is] a success it probably will [illegible deletion] be any way [sic]. I will be right there cheering for you. You seem to be improving. Going to bed at 8:30
[Page 3]
instead of 12 or 1. I got to go and sew some buttons on my clothes but that can wait. There have a raido [sic] program down here why don’t you listen to it its [sic] is on [T]uesday at seven thirty 8:30. [I]t’s free and I have a chance to get a telephone call home if I get the lucky number and I’ll call you up after [Friday?] anyway so till then I love you very much and allways [sic] will. [O]ne sure thing I will be back with bells on one of these days. I love you. Love
