Dearest darling wife & no kids,

Well darling I feel good today because I got about seven letters from you and one from mom. The last letter I got from you was dated the 11th of Feb. and I like that one the best. I got that letter with the one from Rays [sic] wife Maxine in it too and I'm going to send it back with this letter. I guess junior is already here by the letter because she says something about the 24th of feb. [sic] and here it is the first of march [sic]. Well darling I just finished washing my head and I feel much better now. I’m sitting here trying to write and watch a poker

game. Last night the p.x. came and I guess I won’t go broke buying stuff because I bought all I could last night and all I spent was forty francs which is about 80 cents. I even bought cigars. I still think they should pay us in american [sic] money. These francs really mix you up, its not the valuation of them, it [sic] the different size bill that don’t fit the billfold. Well darling so much for that. I guess it will be quite some time before I get back to the states but if you can wait I can. I love you darling and your letters really do something to me. Good night [sic] for now darling and remember I’ll always love you. As ever,

Howard
