Oct. 26, 1943
Hello Darling,
Well here I am again just back from the road march and what a killer. and [sic] on top of that we go on another Bivouac Friday so they told us to go to bed early. Well darling nothing now has happened to day [sic] same old thing and its [sic] not even interesting. Darling I had an awful dream about you last night. It seem [sic] that

you got tired of waiting for me and got married to some other fellow and was very happy or you said you were anyway. Darling its [sic] a good thing it was only a dream because I love you and need you so much that its [sic] not funny. You know what darling I must be in love with you. Ted [illegible deletion] came up to me to night [sic] and said he had a date with two beautiful blonde’s [sic] and wanted to know if I’d go along and of

course I didn’t because I didn’t want to I couldn’t have a good time going out with another girl while all the time I’d think of you so I did the best thing and that is stay home and write to you. Darling there a fellow that lives in Nashville that own his priviat [sic] place and his folks live in Boston and he flies up there sometime and I asked him if I could go with him some time and he said if I had a pass when he was

going I could go along so I [sic] just waiting for him to call and praying for a pass it will only take eight hours to get home by plane and I could have time to see you huh. Don’t plan on it though because I might wait for months to get a pass. Well darling I guess I’ll close for to night [sic] and keep loving me a little huh. Love
