Hi Sugar
How ar [sic] you all? I hope you still love me a little. Gee I wish I could see you just for a little while. Well we just had a bottle of beer. Ted went to the Post Exchange and [illegible] it and you know your [sic] not supposed to take it out but he put it under his jacket and here we are drinking a beer and eating some potatoe [sic] chips. We do crazy things

like that sometimes, You know when you get tired and haven’t the ambition to even lie down and go to sleep, You see we were on the range since 5 o’clock this morning and we didn’t get in until eight to night [sic]. I got a nice package from my Mom [sic] and so I had the a.o. news to read to [sic] but that isn’t like being back home. It look [sic] like I’ll spend Thanks giving [sic]day in the army this year again of course I expected it so I don’t feel too

[page 3]

bad about it. If I had planed [sic] on going home I would of been feeling let down. Well darling I can’t think of much more to say to night [sic] except I love you like no body [sic] else could and I wish I was home so we could get married. I’ll have to leave you now so keep thinking of me and I’ll have a nice dream of you to night [sic] and probably wake up [illegible deletion] about in the middle [illegible deletion] because we leave for the range at five. I love you and always will and until my next furlough I remain your husband to be (I hope) but if you don’t change your mind.
