My darling wife,
Well here I am again and darling I still love you. They are playing Star dust on the radio right now and it make [sic] me more lonely. Well I made the infiltration course last night and was muddy when I got in at two o’clock, well anyway after I took a shower I felt good and went to sleep right away. Well I got up early this morning and had chow and then out in the field again and here I am back in the barracks. Well darling not [sic] letters today but I expect one to-morrow [sic] so I hope I get it. Rays [sic] Wife is sending him some cookies
[Page 2]
and I saw the Post Script on the letter which said (give Sarty some of these cookies) so I guess I won’t go hungry. I got a letter from Barb, and I should answer it but I’m kind of tired to night [sic] but maybe I will anyway. I love you so very much darling and I wish I could see you but I’ll wait until I get a furlough. Well darling I’ll go now but [I] will write soon. As ever,
Howard

P.S. I love you another P.S. I love you (anyway) I love you.
