Hi Darling
How’s every little thing and all the big ones to[o][?] I sent the cookey [sic] box back the other day did you get it yet? I hope Lil is happy but it don’t seem that they will get along too good together. When we used to go out with them they used to allways [sic] have fights or something but you never can tell married life can change some people. You will have to be satisfied with me just like I am because I don’t think married life can change me the army can’t anyway. I hope I will be able to get home soon I getting homesick. [J]ust to spend an other [sic] week with you would be heaven. I got a letter from my sister Betty and she kind of mad at me she said I don’t write her any letters but I wrote back and told her that she had to write one to me first. I got a letter from my

other sister Barb and she tells me all her troubles too. Hows all the people down in the little town. You better hurry up and finish that pillow case because the war going to end soon and we’ll need it but of course I got to get a job first but that won’t take long I hope. I still love you more than you’ll ever know darling and if I did’nt [sic] love you I would’nt [sic] tell you. I was invited out to dinner this [sic] last Sat. and we had fried chicken and it was perfect. [M]y new buddy at the place I at now says for me to say hello for him. [H]e a good egg he lives in Calif. He used to work in a gas station in Hollywood. [S]o he knows quite a few movie stars such as Bat Taylor and a lot more. Well darling I love you and wait for me. Love
Howard
