Hello Darling,
Well I think its [sic] about time I wrote you a letter don’t you. I’ve been so darn busy that I haven’t had time. I was already [sic] to write you friday but we had to get ready for an inspection saturday and we all worked from five in the morning until two thirty Sat. morning and then I had to get up sat. [sic] at five thirty and I’m telling you I was tired. Well we
[page 2]
passed the inspection ok [sic] and saturday afternoon I layed [sic] on my bunk and fell asleep and didn’t wake up until sunday [sic] morn. Well anyway I’m still alive and starting to get ready for another inspection Thursday for the Inspecting General and its [sic] going to be tough. Darling your [sic] too late for silk [sic] stockings. I was talking to the woman at the Nae PX and she said that the last shipment of silk and Nylon stocking was gone and they couldn’t get any more if you wrote me about it about three week [sic] ago I could of got you about a dozen

pair of either silk or Nylon. Darling I’m sending the bond and take care of it for me huh. I went all over the camp to find a studio to have my picture taken and they were all so crowded that I have to wait until next weekend. Gee darling I wish I could be with you again just for a little while. I miss you so much that oh I don’t know I just got to see you.

well I guess I’ll have to close now just remember I love you and only you. Your loving husband (to be)
