Hi Kid,
Well hows [sic] the sweet little girl to-night? [sic] Personally I’m lonely but I think I’ll still live. Ray + I just got back from the show and it was terrible. You know one of those double feature western that we used to love to see at the strand on Saturday night. Gee darling I don’t know what to write to night. [sic] I for a letter from Betty and thanks for the build up. According to Betty I must be the only thing that ever happened, but really darling I can’t be that good. Well tomorrow is the last day before the two week bivouac
[Page 2]
but I think I’ll be able to write every day even if I’m in the field. Darling I love you you know that? I wish this war was over so we could live in our own little appartment. Well Rays [sic] [Illegible section that was crossed out] come back from work and he didn’t wake me up but he got in bed with me even on the top bunk. I told him if he did it again I’d tell his wife on him and he got out of my bunk. Well darling I guess I’ll go to bed now. I love you very much and I hope the war ends soon. All my love,
Howard
