Darling
I just arrived at the camp and boy is [sic] is hot. I miss you and how. These brownies were swell. I got in [W]orcester and I met Vic and her brother as I got off the bus you know Proulx’s girlfriend. Then I went and got the train out of [W]orcester then I started thinking about how much I miss you [illegible deletion] a lot right now I wish I had brought you with me darling [illegible deletion] and

I sure had pleanty [sic] of time to think things over. Darling I miss you more than ever now. What is it going to be like after about a week[?] I love you and I hope you still feel the same. You know the guy I borrow that ten bucks from I got back and found out they send him to Calif. so I guess I will have to send his money to him. I met a fellow that I know when I got to New York and rode came the rest of the way with him. The whole camp down here is in a mix up.

Well darling I going to close now be cause [sic] I got to get some sleep I got to get up at 5:00 to morrow [sic] and shoot the rifle so until to-morrow [sic] I love you. Love
