Dearest darling wife,
Well darling here it is friday the 13th and we’ve been married four months. Darling it seems its[sic] been a long time but it really hasn’t, I guess its[sic] because I haven’t seen you for a long time. Darling I guess the outfit is getting ready to move back to camp Campbell again so I guess I’ll get my furlough around the end of this month I hope. Well I just started to have

chow. It was wonderful beef stew but hardly any beef and the drink was tea so you see I eat. Well tomorrow we have a big problem and it starts at dark tonight and ends sometime before sunday then I guess we’ll start back for camp. The division is really going to move, but to where nobody knows. All we know is that after dec. 10th the twentieth Armed Division will no longer be at camp Campbell. I hope I move nearer [to] home but the chances are very slim.
[Page 3]
Gee I want to see you so damn much but it’ll only be about three week[s] at the most, I hope.Well darling I got to go now I haven’t got any mail for for four days. I guess the mail man hasn’t caught up with me yet. I love you mummy and I hope I’m home before Nov. 13th Your loving Husband
