Hello darling,
Well its [sic] only me again and I love you more and more every day. The lights are out now and I’m in the shower room writing so if for any reason you can’t read this you can put your self [sic] in my place and try writing a letter standing up and writing on the wall. The reason it [sic] late is because I didn’t want to miss the picture (The sign of the cross) which played tonight. Darling it was very good. I got a nice letter from you to day [sic] and yes I’ll give you an [illegible word] darling and I want you here

[Page 2]

with me so much but I don’t want to tell you to come I wish this - war would end. I’m so fed up with this life. I’m going to try to be home for christmas [sic] but I don’t know yet. I might be able to get two days home if I can get the right train connections. Well darling I got to go now but remember I love you. I love you. I love you. As Ever

Howard
