Dear Yve,
Well darling I got the package today with the watch and the brownies and the brownies are really good, I wound the watch and it seems to be keeping good time so far so I hope it is o.k. Well darling you know Ray voice how he talk like a fog horn all the time, well the army decided to try and locate the trouble so today at noon Ray packed his things to visit the hospital for a while. I hope they can do something for him. They might just unclassify him and put him in limited services but you can never tell.

Well darling I’m over at the day room feeling lonely as ever. I don’t get mail very regular from you any more. I guess it because of the christmas rush. I know you write to me but it take so long to get it. Gee darling I wish I were home because I love you so much and want to be with you. It seem ages since I’ve seen you and the day drags. I’m trying to decide weather [sic] I should goldfrick and get discharge [sic] from the army or stay in. I love you so darling and I got to close now because I got to get up at five so I can drive. I love you darling and all the fixing. As Ever
