Hello Darling,
Well how’s my little half-pint curly top to-night [sic]? Gee darling I love you so darn much that I can’t put in to [sic] word[s] how I feel. Darling will you forgive me for not writing last night because I was out all night fighting a fire that was started by the boys that were firing on the range. Well anyway darling it was a beautiful day today and I didn’t hardly do anything but that won’t last. To morrow [sic] we leave for bivouac and we don’t come back until Saturday.
[Page 2]
Gee darling its [sic] getting so I don’t know what to write about anymore except hat I love you, I love you, I love you and gee darling I really do love you so much. Well darling I guess I’ll have to say good night now and get some beauty sleep but I’ll write you to-morrow [sic]. I love you darling and will you still marry me huh? All my love
Howard
[The following is written as a post script]
