Dear Yve.
I just got your letter and gee honey I envy Norman. Some guys get all the luck. Well anyway it must feel good to be home anyway. Right now I’m down at the laundry in the truck to pick up the company laundry, kind of gold bricking [?]. Well darling nothing new has happened so far to day [sic] except I love you a lot and miss you more than ever. Gee I wish I could tell you when I’m getting a furlough but that would be a military secret they won’t
[Page 2]
even tell me and I’m not a civillian [sic] so I guess we’ll just have to wait and see what turns up. How would the 30th of May be or would you rather have it in August say about 20 day. Oh gee darling. I guess there’s no rise [?] of hoping for one for about a couple of months because its [sic] just four months ago to day [sic] that I left on my last one. Well darling the boss is coming so I’ll guess I’ll sign off for now, got to work into to night [sic] that’s why I’m writing now. Well think of me once in a while and remember I still love you and always will. As Ever
