May 26, 1944

10:00 P.M.


Hello Darling:

Well darling my furlough is coming up the tenth of June and it can’t be changed. I asked the first sergeant if it could be put off for another week but he said if I didn’t take it then I’d have to wait until after July 25th. Darling I went to the chapel to-night [sic] again and we really had a nice long talk. The chaplain said that he hasn’t receive the form priest and if it don’t come by [M]onday that he would send for it

himself. Darling I don’t know my ring size and there[‘s] no place in this camp that I could get it. I’ll try to get to town this weekend but its [sic] been pretty hard lately. I[‘m] going back to the chapel [M]onday night again. Darling I don’t like to hear that you are losing weight. Please be careful and we don’t want any black eyes you know. Gee darling I’m so sleepy to-night [sic] but another thing what uniform do you want me to wear when I come home winter or summer or a new one if I can get it? I love you and want you oh so very much. I love you. As Ever
