Yve Darling
I love you darling. I just got finished working K.P. all day to-day [sic] isn’t that a nice thing to do. y How would you like to serve and wash and dry dishes for about 200 guys three times a day. I started about 6:30 this morning and got through about 8 the evening. I still love you and I wish you were here. I need you but of course you know it impossible for you to come and see me and for me to go to see you. I got to go on gard

for the [F]ourth of [J]uly. Well darling how did the recital come out let me know will you darling. I wish I could of gone to it. Well I don’t think that i will ever like the army life. I still think that they are going to move us up to [P]ine [C]amp N.Y. in the near future. I hope so any way [sic] then I will be able to see you. Well I am going to bed now I can’t keep my eyes open any more [sic]. I got to prepare for a 3 day hike and I need sleep. Well good night darling. I love you darling. I love you. Love
