Hi Darling,
Here I am sitting on my bunk eating some of the cake my mom sent me. I didn’t get that package from you yet but it will probably be here tomorrow I hope. I got a letter from you to day [sic] and I knew that you had been at Jill’s house because that [sic] the way you talk after being with her. Darling I know I won’t go to the show while you are at the hospital. You know I’m not like Stanley. I like Stanley and Jill. But their ways aren’t

mine. I just don’t like their way of thinking and doing things. I like my own and I like to be original don’t I darling? Gee darling I want to be with you so darn much and then you remind me of Stanley going to the show. I’ll even hold your hand if they let me out of this army. They had a big talk to day [sic] about reenlisting in the army and you know what I say to that. Hell NO. Pardon the language but when they say something like that, that’s the only answer I can give them. I told them I only got about four weeks at the

most left in the army and I want out in the worst way. I said thanks just the same for wanting me but I just couldn’t see it. Honest darling I love you so very, very much that nothing matters anymore except you and I mean it too. Darling I just want to go home now and be with you always. I love you so much. I love you, I love you I love you most of all darling that’s all I seem to be able to write so until to morrow [sic]. Take care of yourself and my little girl and don’t work too hard darling I want you so much. I love you darling. As Ever.
