Hi Darling
Having a good time wish you were here (and hon). I just got your letter with the pictures in it and there [sic] good but the real person is a lot better don’t you think? You know what darling? I love you very much more than ever. The boys down here
[Page 2]
all want to go home with me to meet you if I ever can get there. Some of the boys are leaving for camps down south of here. Nothing exciting has happened in the last few days except it hot this morning. [I]t was 86°in the shade and went up to 98° at 3 o'clock this afternoon. I love you darling and I hope you will love me enough to wait for me even
[Page 3]
if I can't get home for the first of August as I hoped to. Well I'll be so glad when this war is over and we can get married and [illegible deletion] have a home of our own. Darling they tell me the next bunch of boys will go to Calif. and the one after that will go to Texeas Texas. I hope I stay here for a while if that [sic] the case. Darling I love you and will you be waiting for me. It won't be too long darling if you love me you’ll

wait. Love
