Darling
I’m sorry to hear that you don’t feel so good but that can’t be helped. I wish it could be for you[r] sake though. Gee I miss you a lot, it seems longer this past month than it did all the rest of the time before. My sister Evelyn wrote me and asked me when I was going to get married and I told her just as soon as possible. Is that o.k. with you[?] We just came back from a 30 mile road march which took about 12 hr. and I so sleepy that I don’t know how I’m still awake. I love you darling and I’d like to be back in Southbridge with you but I can’t I might get another fourlough [sic] in the near future I hope.

[Page 2]

I hope that Lil and Stan will be very happy but I don’t think much of a 2 day honeymoon do you? The best he could do was to take 5 or so day’s [sic]. When we go we’ll at best take 10 - 15 days won’t we? Darling it seems so long to [illegible deletion] wait til the war is over. Well darling I guess I got to close now so don’t forget that I’m coming back some of these days and paint the town. Darling I love you [The following “I love you” is written upside down] I love you. Love

Howard
