Subject
Dance
Dovre, Paul J., 1935-
Description
The college at the time did not allow dancing so the Y held dances for Concordia students to attend. Jerry Bjelde also talked about the picture he brought of the first faculty/staff golf outing in 1965. It began a tradition that went on for over 30 years. Jerry also discussed their family history with the college. The fifth generation Cobber will be graduating in 2015, Katie Bjelde. His two grandchildren grew up at the college and stayed in the Bogstad apartments for a summer. They were friends with President Paul Dovre and his family and spent much of their time at his home. Their children played together and have very fond memories of the fun they had with the dumbwaiter.
