Hi wifey,
Do you still love me? Gee I miss you to night. [sic] We just got back from the bivouac and its [sic] so late that I won’t be able to write long. Gee darling I wish I had a furlough so I could see you. Gee I [am] so darn tired that if I was home I’d probably fall a sleep [sic] at the foot of the bed again and that’s no good, is it?
[Page 2]
Darling I’m glad that your [sic] not sorry that you married me even though I did mary [sic] you for your money but now since I’ve married you I wouldn’t care if you didn’t have any thing [sic] because I found out I love you even more than I ever thought I could. Well darling its [sic] getting very late so I’ll say good night [sic] so I’ll be able to write to morrow. [sic] We won’t be on another bivouac for a few days anyway so good night for now darling and please keep loving me as I love you. Your loving husband,
Howard
