Dearest Yvette,
Darling I just got your letter that you wrote Sunday and please don’t cry. I love you so much and I’m old fashioned in a way I only get married once and only want one girl and I’ve got the right one and another thing Marie I don’t think that you [are] skinny, dull, homely or uninteresting infact you get more interesting every day and another thing you don’t have to worry about the novelty wearing off because it won’t. Darling if I thought that our love wouldn’t last I wouldn’t of [sic] married you. Darling I think your [sic] the most
[Page 2]
beautiful little wife a guy like me could ever get and I love you so very much. I’m the one who ought to worry about losing you. There’s a part in your letter that I disagree with you, you say I understand you. Darling don’t you know that a man never will be able to understand a woman? Mummy I knew that we would be lonelier if we did get married but I’m so glad we got married that I wouldn’t have it any other way. By the way darling I thought that you weren’t going to drink unless I was there but I’ll forgive you this time. Darling I’m going to leave now but I want you to know just how much I love you. I love you so much that nothing else matters and darling I always will. Your loving husband,
Howard
