Dearest Yve,
Well darling how’s every thing [sic] to night? [sic] I feel swell but for one thing and that’s because your [sic] not here with me. Darling I have a room reserved in town for the 8th of Aug. so if you plan to come let me know and see if you can arrange it to get in Clarkesville before night. I think you’ll be have to take an early morning train Monday I think that will bring you in Clarksville around Tues. afternoon. And darling you may

bring my beautiful pajamas if you want me to wear pajamas because I haven’t any down here. You know the army doesn’t issue them and I’m [illegible word] And as far as for that suit you don’t have to bring it because I’ve got pleanty [sic] of clothes here and it would be just excess baggage. Darling the only reason why I want you to try to get here in the afternoon or around supper time is that I’ll be able to meet the train and then we will have to take a bus to the next town to the Hotel and if you come in the middle of the night if wouldn’t be very good because you wouldn’t like to sit in the station all night. I’m pretty sure of getting some

time off but you never can tell. Darling how much are the pictures you know our agreement well tell me the truth. Mummy I really must say good night now so I’ll be A-1 when you come. I love you and always will good night darling. As ever,
Howard
