Dear Yvette,
Its [sic] only me again and just as lonely as ever. I just got through with one of those may [sic] reading classes and I went back to the barracks to write a letter but just as I started to write they shut the lights off on me so here I am in the day room. I didn’t do much to day [sic] we just went out in the field and I got Cherry stuck in the mud and [I] had to get pulled out. Darling I got a letter from Barb to day [sic] and a nice big one from you only it was open
[Page 2]
when I got it I guess there wasn’t enough glue on the envelope because it wasn’t stuck when I got it. Anyway darling even if you don’t seal them I enjoy getting the letters and some day [sic] I’ll tell you how much. We got a night problem to morrow [sic] night so I don’t know what time I’ll write but I do love you so very much and I wish this war would end so we could start living. I love you darling and I got to go now because I got to get up at 4:30 to morrow. [sic] All my love,
Howard
