I sent you a letter by Air Mail and you should have got it by Thurs. I could’nt [sic] leave the Co. [Illeigelbe deletion] to send a telegram or call you up so I hope you got this it in time. I put in for my furlough starting Aug 21 and if I get it that morning I’ll be in worc at around Sunday night. Darling I hope it comes through you don’t know how much I’m planning on coming home. I thought that I had finish [sic] taking all the shots in the arm. I got an other [sic] one to-day [sic] and i’m sore again. I just made a friend of a Staff Sarg. and he’s swell he gives me ties and shirts and every thing [sic]n I need. I hope he stays here. I hope you get this letter in the mail [M]onday. I just got back from the hike we

Started on [W]ed. night and I’m tired but I be allright [sic] in the morning. Well I got to be going and get ready for inspection to-morrow [sic] for the General is coming around to and we got to do a lot of work to-night [sic]. [L]ook at my address on the envelope and it changed a little bit. Well darling I love you and I hope you do. Love
