Thursday
Dearest darling wife,
Gee darling I hope you start feeling better and I wish I could be home now because I need you so very much and every thing [sic] would be better all around. Gee I love you so. About the kahki shirt, if there’s anything I’ve got that your brother needs and can wear give it to him and wish him luck. Darling I don’t think I’ll need anything I got so it [sic] up to you give him what he wants. You know I think Pita has been lucky because we only had ten day the first time and look at them
[Page 2]
but darling I wouldn’t trade those ten day [sic] for two years right now. They were the best and couldn’t be improved on. I’m not saying that the last thirty two days were hevenly [sic] because they were but I’m just saying I love’d you so very much the day we were married that nothing could go wrong. Well darling now to let you know what I’m doing. I got on a guard (Cargo of the guard) and its not half bad but things could be tougher but gee darling I wish I would get a discharge tomorrow. I think I’ll have to go back to truck driving or mechanic work next week, so they tell me anyway. Maybe
[Page 3]
the weeks will go by faster anyway. You know there’s discharge guys every day from the 20th so maybe I’ll get lucky I hope so so very much. I love you so much darling. I can sometimes feel your fifty fifty’s touching me when I go to sleep at night and then what a dream I have. I had a dream last night that we were living in a little appartment [sic] and everything was swell until first call and then I found out I was still here. Gee darling take care of your self [sic] and if you would don’t give too many lessons because I want you for a wife when I get home. I don’t mean to sound like the fussy type of husband but
[Page 4]
I don’t want you to work too hard. I love you too much and want you more than I could ever tell you. I love you and always will. As Ever.
