Hello dearest Darling:
How are you all honey [illegible] Gee your [sic] getting good. I got two letters from you to-day [sic]. Darling I never doubt your love any more [sic]. Gee I hope I get a furlough pretty soon, anything to get away from this army for a while, its [sic] driving me nutty. Well to day [sic] I went to a machine gun school and to-morrow [sic] I’m going to have to take a test. [Y]ou know what that means. It I pass well? Or if I don’t well?
[Page 2]
All the fellows are doing bunk fatigue to-night [sic]. None of them feel ambition to night [sic]. [Y]ou know what I didn’t get guard duties to night [sic]. [T]hat means I can sleep in bed instead of walking past all night. Here I am lying [sic] on my bunk looking at your picture trying to write a letter but I can’t so I might as well close. You really look beautiful to night [sic] [D]arling and you look a hundred times better in the real life. [D]arling I love you. Lots of love
Howard
