Dearest darling wife,
Its [sic] only me again and I’m so much in love with a little girl in Southbridge that nothing else matters. I wish I was with this little girl tonight because I’m in the mood to mush up all the hair and I feel so mushy mush tonight. Well darling I just got back from the USO show which was very good. It was an all my negro show and I enjoyed it very much. I just saw Ray about five minutes ago and I told him to stick around a little

while and he could watch me crawl in to [sic] nice warm bed, you see he has to go back in the field and sleep on the cold ground. Ray says to say hello for him and here goes (Hello). Yes darling Ray said he got your letter and he keeps reminding that my wife writes to him. And I know my wife and she can write to anyone she pleases as long as she write me [sic]. I love you darling and I wish I could be with you. I love you darling. As Ever
