Evening
Dearest darling wife,
I guess I’m a bad boy for not writing you last night but I was kept pretty busy and it got kind of late. I just got a letter from you and you seem mad at me. I know darling that your [sic] only coming down to spend a couple of weeks. I’m sorry if you thought I said for you to stay all the time. You probably know by now that I want you to come down for christmas [sic] and new years [sic] darling. I’m not and never was sure of a five day pass yet but there’s just the chance that I might get one. Darling I felt awful
[Page 2]
bad you didn’t sign the letter at all but you did say you still love me and I guess thats [sic] what counts. I love you so very very much that I feel every little thing. Darling, you say this is a fifty fifty marriage and you want to know what I want for christmas [sic]. Well darling, don’t be sore when I tell you I want you to spend christmas [sic] and New years with me and that [sic] all. I love you so much christmas [sic] wouldn’t mean anything without you.
I looked over that long list of things that you asked for and I don’t know much more than I did before what to get you but I guess I can find some thing but I’ll tell you one thing silk stockings are out. Darling theres [sic] one thing
[Page 3]
I know you may not look like a movie star but your [sic] my pretty little wife and I love you with all my heart and I would [sic] trade you for all the movie stars.I’ve got those two insignias for the boys but I wait until you come down. Darling I love you very much and I hope [illegible word] you soon I must say goodnight now so I can write a few lines home. I got to get up at 4 45 [sic] tomorrow. I love you. As Ever
