Dear Yvette,
well its [sic] been quite a day with all this and thats [sic] and I’m just about ready to go to bed. First off this morning I got up, then I went to eat and then to work as usual. Everything went along smooth until about three o’clock this afternoon and then I was question [sic] by a major and up to now I don’t know what he wanted to find out. Well after that I got back to the barracks and [ate chow] tonight and was going to the post office but the first Sgt. had different ideas and said we were going to have a g.i. party. In that kind of a party each man get [sic] either a scrub brush, a broom or a mop and washing every thing [sic] in sight and we just got finished and I’m
[Page 2]
a little tired. Well kid about the watch it runs good I think .It has so far but it takes quite a beating every once in a while [sic]. I’m going to tell Ray what you said about his voice. Darling I don’t expect packages from you. I know your [sic] awful busy and really darling all I want is to be with you. I’m so sick of this living without you. I dream a little to [sic] darling and its [sic] always about you and they make me feel a lot better until I wake up and I’ve got an armful of pillow. Well darling maybe I can get to the post office tomorrow. I’ve been trying for three days now and no luck yet and it [sic] got to change soon. I haven’t got you you [sic] christmas [sic] present yet but I’ll get something if I have to go to china [sic] to get it. Well I’ll say goodnight for now darling and remember I’ll always love you. As Ever
