Dear Yvette,
Well I got two nice letters from you to day which makes me feel a lot better. If you want me to I’ll go in town and check on that reservation at the hotel. I just can’t wait until you come down though. You probably wonder why you haven’t been getting mail, well darling I’ve been on another one of these bivouacs which is supposed to finish them all for a while. I got a box of cookies and candy from maxine for christmas [sic] and they were very good not as good as the ones you made but they were good. gee even she thinks of me once in a while [sic]. I’m going to
[Page 2]
write to her in the morning and thank her for it. I haven’t heard from Ray since they shipped him to the general hospital in Nashville. Well darling I don’t know what to write any more except I love you more every day and I can’t wait until you get here. I’ll be able to meet that four-ten train if your [sic] on it but let me know will you darling? This is going to be short + sweet because I didn’t go to bed last night and am awful sleepy so I’ll say goodnight now and I’ll dream of you (I hope). I love you Yve with all my heart and don’t ever forget it. I love you. As Ever
