Dearest darling wife + no kids (yet)
Well kid here I am and no letter yet. You better put an air mail stamp on one letter so it gets here. I just finished writing a note home and one to bill so I hope I hear something soon. I just got a letter from Betty to-day and I know that you’ve been writing but its [sic] just that I haven’t got any yet. Well darling didn’t do much to day [sic] but feel awful sleepy and theres [sic] no reason for it. I guess I’m just getting lazy. You know darling you go to the town around here it [sic] almost like Southbridge only everybody speak [sic] french and of course the buildings are different. Our quarters are in a big place. We only house ten men in our room.
[Page 2]
Why its [sic] just like living in a hotel. But Boy [sic] I’d like to go to a place where I could get a good steak dinner. Well darling I [sic] going to quit now but will write soon. I hope I get a letter from you tomorrow. My moral is way down low. I love you darling and wish I was home. As Ever
