Hello little darling,
I still love you and even if you are a problem child you don’t know what a problem I’ll be. Well everything is in a mess down here clothing checks and barracks bags [illegible word] and shave tails running [illegible deletion] around with there [sic] head’s [sic] cut off and don’t even know what to do. Don’t worry darling I’m not leaving, I don’t think I’ll ever get out of Kentucky until the war is over. The reason I didn’t write for the last few days is because I’ve been out on one of those mid [?]

brivouacs [sic] and just got in late last night but we won’t talk about that. You know darling it doesn’t seem possible that your brother is old enough to go to college but time flies and you can’t do much about it. Well darling there’s not much to say. Sundays are just like other days in the army only you get up at seven instead of five thirty. I just got finished and it[‘s] five o’clock now so its [sic] not so bad. I’m thinking of going to the show to-night [sic] to see Meet the People. The boys say its [sic] good. Take care darling and daring I love you very much and please wait. I love you. As Ever,
Howard
