Hello darling,
Well it’s Sunday again and its [sic] raining and I’m so darn lonesome when I get a day off. I went to the hospital from two to four to see Jack Hamline (my boss). He’s got some kind of back trouble and he got to stay in bed for a while. Well darling I got to put my wool clothes away for another seven months because to morrow [sic] we go into summer uniforms which I don’t think look as well but its [sic] will
[Page 2]
be a change anyway. By the way darling I guess we’ll be quite busy because to morrow [sic] we’re getting about one hundred + seventy new men to train for about seven weeks so that means I’ll be in Campbell another seven weeks anyway. To morrow [sic] we got to go out and try to pass the expert infantry test there [sic] giving if we pass we get the expert infantry medal. I don’t know if I can pass it though. Gee darling I love you so darn much. I want to go home to see you and I’m getting so darn tired of this life. Darling I really do love you. As Ever
Howard
