Darling Yve;
How do you feel now that I not[sic] around any more. [A]re you staying home every night or going out[?]. Excuse the writing because I am laying down and writing on a book. This morning I was up at four and out for mess but then I had to go back to the barracks for guard duty from 7:00 a.m to 9:00 p.m. last night darling i went up to the service club and stayed a couple of hours. The service club is about 2 miles away from my barracks. I miss you so much but I suppose you know that already. I am still waiting to be stationed what is to be in the very new future.
[Page 2]
How is everybody back home. I want to get a leave before I go south but I suppose I won't be able to. Just now we are having a sand storm and it is really bad when you can’t see 20 feet in front of you. I missed you Saturday & Sunday night. I would give anything to hold you in my arms again. I love you so much and I wish you would tell me the same when you see me again. [Do] you miss me as much as you thought you would. There not [sic] much sense of you answering this or these letters because I won’t be here long enough. I still love you and wait for me. Yours
